Eduardo Sanabria, also known as EDO, was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1970. His graphic work began in the main Caracas newspapers, later he published in the newspapers "Venezuela Business News", in Washington and New York, as well as in "Diario Las Americas "in Miami.

 

He attended illustration courses, graphic design workshops and comic conventions in Panama, Mexico, Argentina, Spain and the United States (Miami, New York, Phoenix, San Diego and Las Vegas). EDO twice won the Pedro León Zapata Award given by the newspaper "El Nacional" to the best cartoonist in the Venezuelan press (2005 and 2008).

 

In 2007, he was awarded the "Golden Pen" Award as the best cartoonist in the 1st Graphic Humor Exhibition of the Caracas Arts Fair. He has published a series of books entitled HUMOR-ES EDO, volumes 1, 2 and 3, consisting of a selection of his most outstanding works published in the Venezuelan press.

In 2018, together with the renowned humorist Laureano Márquez, he published "Historieta de Venezuela" a book in the key of humor and in comic format that tells the history of the Latin American country.

 

Starting in 2008, EDO began his path in Pop art. His work has been exhibited in many country such as Caracas, Milan, Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas and Miami. EDO currently resides in Miami. He's has  a permanent exhibition in the Lobby of the Boutique Wingate Miami Airport hotel.
